Job description

Job Purpose

The Regional Services Operations Manager (RSOM) is responsible for leading and standardizing field execution across all projects within an assigned region. This role provides direct leadership to Superintendents and is accountable for field productivity, safety execution, quality performance, workforce utilization, and consistent application of Cromโ€™s field execution standards.

The RSOM owns how work is executed in the field and ensures the field organization delivers reliable, disciplined, and safe execution that supports those outcomes.

Essential Duties Responsibilities

1. Field Leadership and Superintendent Management:

  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and performance management for Superintendents and Senior/General Superintendents assigned to the region.
  • Assign Superintendents to projects based on job complexity, risk profile, workload, and demonstrated capability.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to assess leadership effectiveness, execution discipline, planning rigor, and adherence to Crom standards.
  • Establish clear field expectations and hold Superintendents accountable to safety, quality, productivity, and reporting requirements.

2. Field Execution and Productivity:

  • Monitor labor performance across all regional projects and take corrective action when trends indicate risk.
  • Optimize utilization of labor, field leadership, and equipment across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Identify execution risks early and intervene to prevent productivity loss, schedule degradation, or rework.
  • Lead field-driven recovery efforts on underperforming or at-risk projects.

3. Safety Leadership

  • Demonstrate visible and consistent leadership in support of Cromโ€™s safety-first culture.
  • Ensure pre-task planning, hazard analysis, and field-level risk controls are executed daily.
  • Partner with HSE personnel to address incidents, trends, corrective actions, and high-risk work activities.
  • Hold field leadership accountable for safe work practices, incident prevention, and corrective action closure.

4. Quality Execution

  • Ensure workmanship meets contract requirements, Crom quality expectations, and customer standards.
  • Drive quality execution to reduce rework, inspection failures, and punch list volume.
  • Identify repeat quality issues and implement corrective actions across the region.

5. Startup Readiness and Standardization

  • Ensure all projects are properly staffed and field-ready prior to mobilization.
  • Enforce use of standard startup checklists, work planning tools, and field reporting processes.
  • Support and reinforce Crom OpEx initiatives by standardizing execution practices across the region.

6. Collaboration & Communication

โ€ข Work collaboratively with Project Managers to align field execution plans with project budgets, schedules, and commitments

  • Participate in project startup meetings, operational reviews, and recovery planning sessions.
  • Escalate unresolved execution or resource conflicts to regional leadership in a timely and structured manner

7. Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has direct supervisory responsibility for Superintendents and Senior/General Superintendents as assigned. The RFOM is responsible for performance evaluations, development planning, coaching, and discipline in accordance with Crom policies

8. Operation Excellence Alignment

This role is a key leader in the execution of Cromโ€™s Operational Excellence framework. The RFOM directly supports improvements in safety leadership, quality and execution discipline, productivity control, and development of field leadership capacity

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of construction or specialty subcontracting experience, with significant self-perform field operations exposure.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading multiple Superintendents or regional field operations.
  • Demonstrated success improving labor productivity, safety performance, and execution consistency.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, manpower planning, field controls, and safety leadership.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region.

Working Conditions

This position requires frequent visits to active construction sites. The employee must be able to walk jobsites with uneven terrain, climb ladders or structures as required, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Work may be performed in varying weather conditions and may require extended hours to meet operational needs
