Job description

The Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for the client and will be responsible for managing all on-site security personnel, maintaining exceptional customer service, ensuring contract compliance, and fostering a safe and secure environment for tenants, visitors, and building management. This role combines security operations leadership with client relationship management and property support. Account Managers in security environments typically oversee daily operations, lead security personnel, ensure client satisfaction, and coordinate building-related security functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison between Marathon Protection Services and property management.

Manage all day-to-day security operations for a Class A commercial office building.

Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and develop security personnel.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with client expectations, post orders, and company standards.

Maintain staffing levels and ensure all shifts are adequately covered.

Investigate incidents, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to management and clients.

Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and disciplinary actions when necessary.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with tenants, property management, and building engineering teams.

Coordinate emergency response procedures, drills, and building security initiatives.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.

Monitor security technology systems including access control, CCTV, visitor management, and incident reporting platforms.

Manage overtime, labor costs, scheduling efficiency, and account profitability.

Attend client meetings and provide regular operational updates and performance metrics.

Respond to client concerns promptly and implement corrective action plans as needed.

Maintain a professional presence and ensure exceptional customer service throughout the property.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of management experience in security, facilities, hospitality, property management, or related field.

Experience managing operations within a Class A commercial office building preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with scheduling, payroll review, and workforce management.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and security management software.

Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Florida Class D Security License preferred (or ability to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working directly with commercial property managers and building ownership groups.

Knowledge of access control systems, CCTV systems, and emergency management procedures.

Prior experience managing teams of 15–50 security professionals.

CPR/First Aid/AED Certification.
