Job description

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Operator II - Lab Support for a contract position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Eugene, OR. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role is critical in ensuring the operational efficiency of manufacturing laboratories by managing supply needs across the entire operations team. The position involves supplying production with materials, cleaning and replenishing glassware, utilizing inventory management systems (ERP), performing cycle counts, and handling materials in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all lab supply needs for the operations team, including monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies, stocking, and organizing work areas
  • Maintain stocking levels of essential lab items to ensure no delays in the production schedule, including cleaning and replenishing glassware in a timely manner
  • Perform routine cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate records in the inventory management system
  • Execute inventory transactions and reporting in an inventory management system to maintain real-time supply visibility
  • Follow all safe work practices, SOPs, and internal quality standards for handling and storing materials
  • Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and warehouse teams to align supply needs with production goals
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve turnaround time
  • Aid with other lab support or material handling function responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing role
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with computer software including ERP system and Microsoft Suites
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to stand, walk, and be active for 6-7 hours/day while performing job duties
  • Ability to move objects up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to wear PPE (safety glasses, lab coat, latex gloves), handle detergent, and clean glassware

Desired skills:
  • Associate's degree or higher
  • Experience with ERP systems (E1, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Prior material handling and inventory management experience
  • Familiarity with chemistry laboratory operations including safe handling of solvents and glassware
  • Familiar with chemical hygiene concepts and chemical SDS

Pay range: up to $19.00 per hour
