Job description

Position Purpose
This position leads in the analysis, design, configuration, coding, testing, and implementation of new and existing Human Capital Management (HCM)/Payroll/Workforce Management (WFM) applications used within Renown Health entities. This position partners with the user community to resolve technical problems, application performance issues and leads optimization and enhancement efforts. This position oversees the design, configuration, testing and support of system changes and data interfaces within assigned products and scope, including system administration functions. The incumbent in this position will be a primary contact for external users for the designated product(s) and will assist in leading large projects. This position actively pursues research and development to ensure continued technology innovation for Renown Health aligned with our values and policies.
Nature and Scope
This position is responsible for a complex Healthcare System application environment that changes rapidly to meet the changing requirements of a growing enterprise of applications and is challenged with providing a reliable, flexible, and cost-effective system environment.
The Senior Application Analyst:
  • Job duties may include activities that assist with application analysis, project coordination, customer support, security administration, training and liaison with customers.
  • Provides technical support, education and maintenance for the assigned application(s) and interfaces in support of the entire Health System.
  • Provides internal project coordination on all assigned application(s) and system upgrades, also partners with the project management team on strategic projects
  • Leads the analysis, design, testing, and implementation of new and existing systems for the assigned application(s).
  • Collaborates with the organizational leaders to resolve technical problems, application performance issues as well as lead optimization and enhancement efforts.
  • Manages all assigned application security (I.e., user provisioning).
  • Supports the user community by addressing service desk calls and tickets related to the assigned application(s).
  • Is responsible to serve as the conduit for submission of work requests applicable to the assigned application(s) and will facilitate a timely response to the requestor advising them regarding work scheduling; technical feasibility; technology compatibility; integration and interfacing.
  • Create and maintain appropriate technical documentation based upon role, including standards for naming and numbering conventions, change control, environment management, and security classifications.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work on multiple tasks with high quality results and adherence to deadlines.
  • Develop Level of Effort estimates and ability to track actual time worked accurately.
  • Work with a general level of supervision.
  • Experience supporting UKG Pro or a comparable Human Capital Management (HCM) platform.
  • Strong SQL scripting and database experience, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Background in application support and/or programming, with strong technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience configuring, customizing, and supporting HRIS or ERP systems, including HR, Payroll, and Timekeeping modules.
  • Business analyst skill set with working knowledge of the Project Life Cycle and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams; a generalist mindset with the ability to work across diverse domains.

Education:
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology, health care, science, business field, or an equivalent level of professional experience preferred.
Experience:
6+ years' experience working in an Information Technology or Healthcare setting.
6+ years in healthcare application analysis or application configuration and support experience.
Experience in the application related to the position filled, preferred.
Years of experience in a business or operational capacity involving the use of the tools and systems supported by this position may be considered as a substitute for the specified requirement of application configuration and support experience.
Project Management experience preferred.

Computer / Typing:
