Overview
Cardiovascular Technologist – OR CVOR Tech travel assignment in Vail, Colorado. Start date 08/31/2026 for 13 weeks, days shift, with guaranteed 32 hours per week. Weekly pay ranges from $1,752 to $1,838. Work setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital.

Responsibilities
- Possess expertise in sterile and aseptic technique; apply knowledge of anatomy and surgical procedures within AORN standards during invasive procedures.
- Maintain and check all items for proper packaging, moisture, seal and packaging integrity; ensure sterile indicators and expiration dates are current; safeguard the operating room environment and patient safety.
- Monitor sterile field for contamination or disruption and initiate corrective action under supervision.
- Work toward competency with Tier 1 surgical cases and remain flexible to evolving procedures and instrumentation.
- Model effective communication with the perioperative team; actively participate in Time Out processes, briefings, and debriefings; assist with patient transports and room turnovers/prep.
- Demonstrate professional behavior and currency in new technologies and instrumentation; clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization; comply with HIPAA requirements.
Requirements
- License: Licensed Surgical Technologist in the state of Colorado (Colorado Surgical Technologist license) required.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
- Education/Experience: Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist.
- Computer skills: Must possess, or obtain within 90 days, computer skills necessary for online learning, forms access, and benefits enrollment.
- Language: Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Physical/clinical: Ability to perform the essential duties of a surgical technologist in a perioperative setting; HIPAA compliant.
