In-Home Private-Duty Nursing Care

We provide in-home private-duty nursing care for children between the ages of 0 and 20 years old. These children are medically and technologically dependent. Most have many other special medical conditions that require meticulous attention from skilled practitioners.

Education/Certification Requirement:

  • Current, unrestricted nursing license approved by the Texas State Board of Nursing

Job Type(s): Full-Time and PRN

Functions & Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):

  • Provides exceptional nursing services, including medications, as prescribed by a licensed physician
  • Monitors for potential abuse or neglect situations and follows the regulated reporting guidelines for any suspected issues
  • Monitors all aspects of health and safety within patient's home
  • Submits correct documentation after each shift performed
  • Upholds aspects of HIPAA
  • Maintains medical supplies as needed
  • Available to parents for health related questions and/or concerns.
  • Maintains consistent and punctual attendance
  • Upholds Company Policies and Procedures
  • Supports organization's goals and values
  • Works well with other professionals

Experience:

  • 1 year of relevant experience preferred but not required.
  • PALS Home Health is implementing a new Nursing Residency Program to enable new graduate nurses and those with less than 2 years of relevant experience to perform to their highest ability while taking exceptional care of their patient(s).

License Requirement (one of the following):

  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Work Location(s) – Various cases in the following locations. You'll only be assigned to one location unless otherwise requested by the candidate since PALS Home Health matches you to a family with the goal of long-term placement:

  • Hewitt, TX Area

Working days (varies per case):

  • Monday
  • Tuesday
  • Wednesday
  • Thursday
  • Friday
  • Saturday - Immediate openings for weekend nurses.
  • Sunday - Immediate openings for weekend nurses.

We have immediate openings for weekend nurses and night nurses. If you are available to work weekends and/or FT nights, we encourage you to apply!

Hours per week:

  • 20-24 on average for PRN
  • 30 on average for Full-Time
  • Hours vary depending on shift need/client case
