Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Med/Surg Overflow (PRN)
Job Type: PRN | Days
Schedule: 2 shifts required every 2 weeks, rotating weeknds

Our Medical-Surgical Post-Surgical & Overflow Unit is a 32-bed inpatient unit specializing in the care of patients recovering from general, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures. The unit also supports medical-surgical overflow as needed. Nurses on this unit typically manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, providing comprehensive postoperative monitoring, pain management, and coordinated interdisciplinary care.

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:
  • Will make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator.
  • Shapes exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing
  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies medical surgical needs
  • Performs post operative assessments
  • Performs wound care
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Assists in multidisciplinary collaborations
