Job Description

This role sits at the intersection ofstrategy, analytics, and large-scale program execution, requiring a leader who can drive transformational change while delivering actionable business insights. The ideal candidate combines exceptional project and program management capabilities with strong analytical expertise, business acumen, and executive communication skills. This individual will partner closely with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives that enhance performance, modernize data and reporting capabilities, and enable data-driven decision making across Branch & Small Business Banking.

Position Summary

TheStrategic Initiatives & Analytics Managerpartners with the Head of Data Analytics & Insights to identify, prioritize, and execute high-impact initiatives that drive business performance, operational efficiency, and strategic growth. This role leads complex, enterprise-scale programs and transformation efforts while providing strategic analysis, actionable insights, and executive-level recommendations to senior leadership.

The successful candidate will possess a unique blend ofprogram management excellence, strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and executive communication skills. They must be equally comfortable leading large cross-functional initiatives, performing deep analytical assessments, developing business cases, and creating polished executive presentations that clearly communicate strategy, findings, recommendations, and progress against objectives.

This leader will play a key role in shaping the future of the Data Analytics & Insights organization by driving initiatives across data platforms, analytical delivery capabilities, scorecards, incentive data support,alerts and leads, client and field insights,workforce and capacity planning, and long-range strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Program Management

  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional strategic initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment to organizational priorities and business outcomes.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive program plans, governance structures, milestones, risk mitigation strategies, and stakeholder communication plans.

  • Partner with senior leaders across Branch & Small Business Banking to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and performance improvement.

  • Drive organizational change management efforts to support adoption of new processes, tools, technologies, and operating models.

  • Coordinate complex initiatives requiring collaboration across business, operations, analytics, technology, finance, and risk management teams.

Analytics, Insights & Business Strategy

  • Conduct strategic and operational analyses to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and performance improvement recommendations.

  • Translate complex data into meaningful business insights that inform executive decision-making.

  • Assess business performance through analysis of key operational, sales, client engagement, and financial metrics.

  • Develop business cases, forecasts, scenario analyses, and strategic recommendations to support investment decisions and organizational priorities.

  • Partner with leaders to define success measures, establish performance frameworks, and track initiative outcomes.

Executive Communications & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop high-quality executive presentations, strategic updates, board-level materials, and leadership communications.

  • Synthesize complex information into concise, compelling, and visually polished presentations that clearly articulate business implications and recommended actions.

  • Present findings, recommendations, and program updates to executive leadership with confidence and credibility.

Branch & Small Business Banking Expertise

  • Maintain deep understanding of Branch & Small Business Banking operations, performance drivers, financial metrics, sales effectiveness measures, and client engagement KPIs.

  • Leverage business knowledge to identify opportunities to improve productivity, revenue growth, client experience, and operational performance.

  • Align strategic initiatives and analytical efforts with enterprise and line-of-business objectives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master'sdegree or equivalent work experience.

  • 10+ years of experience inprogrammanagement, strategic initiatives, analytics, consulting, business strategy, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience leading large-scale strategic programs and organizational change initiatives.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into strategic business recommendations.

  • Advanced knowledge of project and program management methodologies and governance frameworks.

  • Demonstrated experience building executive-level presentations and communicating effectively with senior leaders.

  • Experience leading data, reporting,scorecard, or analytics transformation initiatives.

  • Strong financial acumen and strategic planning capabilities.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00
