Fully Remote! Based in Virginia, we are a multidisciplinary law firm known for its client-focused approach collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical results. The Virginia workers' compensation practice is expanding and seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join a growing team handling sophisticated defense litigation matters. This role is ideal for a seasoned litigator who values workers' compensation defense client relationships and long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to Virginia workers' compensation defense litigation matters
  • Draft pleadings motions briefs discovery responses settlement evaluations and appeals documents with accuracy and efficiency
  • Represent clients in hearings depositions and proceedings before Deputy Commissioners while providing strategic case evaluations to employers insurers and third-party administrators
  • Manage an assigned caseload while collaborating with colleagues and support staff on case management and providing regular client updates recommendations and risk assessments


Qualifications

  • JD from an ABA-approved law school with an active Virginia license in good standing (Washington DC and/or Maryland license preferred)
  • 2+ years of direct workers' compensation experience preferred
  • Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 ProLaw Excel and e-document management software preferred
