Job description

The Workers Comp Biller / Front Office professional plays a critical role in managing and processing billing specifically for workers' compensation claims within a small team environment. This position involves handling claims efficiently, maintaining accurate records, posting payments, and ensuring clear communication with customers while interacting minimally with insurance companies. This role requires great attention to detail and strong communication skills to support the smooth operation of the billing process without the need for travel.

Responsibilities

  • Process billing for workers' compensation claims accurately and timely
  • Manage and track claims throughout the billing lifecycle
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding billing inquiries and issues
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation of transactions
  • Post payments and reconcile accounts as necessary

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in medical billing
  • Proficient in medical billing practices and ICD-10 coding
  • Knowledge of workers’ compensation claims processing
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
