Now Hiring: Instructional Designer - Workday Enablement
Swoon is partnering with a leading enterprise organization to hire an experienced Instructional Designer to support a large-scale Workday HR transformation.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with hands-on Workday implementation experience who enjoys building engaging learning experiences that help employees adopt new systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop instructor-led training, eLearning courses, microlearning, job aids, and other learning materials to support a Workday implementation.
  • Partner with HR, HRIS, IT, Change Management, and business stakeholders to translate complex Workday processes into effective learning solutions.
  • Develop role-based training for employees, managers, HR teams, and support staff.
  • Create just-in-time learning resources, including simulations, walkthroughs, and knowledge articles.
  • Support key implementation milestones, including testing, deployment, go-live, and post-launch adoption.
  • Measure learning effectiveness and continuously improve training content based on feedback and business needs.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of instructional design experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing and delivering training for a Workday implementation is required.
  • Strong experience with Articulate Rise/360.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise technology implementations.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Preferred:
  • Experience with Vyond, Synthesia, or 7Taps.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or other enterprise HR technologies.
  • Familiarity with change management and technology adoption strategies.

Position Details:
  • Location: Hybrid - Chicago, IL
  • Duration: 6-9 month contract with strong potential for extension
  • Pay: Up to $33/hour
