Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Radiology Partners SoCal is seeking a full-time Radiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our exceptional team in Palm Springs, CA at Desert Regional Medical Center.
The PA/NP will support our radiologists by providing high-quality patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings. Under the supervision of a licensed radiologist, the PA/NP will assist with patient evaluation, perform select diagnostic and interventional procedures, and collaborate with referring providers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Position Details:
Schedule: Monday-Friday (onsite, daytime)
Location: Palm Springs, CA
Compensation: Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), CME, and PTO
Supervision: Provided by onsite radiologists with continuous communication and clinical collaboration
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and assist with interventional and diagnostic radiology procedures, including:
Paracentesis, thoracentesis, venous access, lumbar punctures, arthrograms, and joint injections
Support fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided studies under physician supervision
Assist in direct patient care, including inpatient and outpatient consults and follow-up
Support outpatient Interventional Radiology clinic operations
Monitor patients for contrast reactions and post-procedure complications
Order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies as appropriate
Participate in quality improvement and team collaboration initiatives
Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, both verbally and in writing.
Follow physician instructions closely to ensure optimal imaging for diagnosis.
Stay current and adaptable to new technology as it becomes available.
Scope of practice will be driven by the needs of the Radiology department as determined by the radiologists and accordance with state and/or federal laws.
Perform other duties as assigned to support high-quality radiology services and patient care.

Desert Regional Medical Center (DRMC) is a Level 2 Trauma Center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, with a busy Comprehensive Cancer Center. Along with JFK Memorial Hospital and Hi-Desert Medical Center, we cover one of the largest primary care networks in the Palm Springs/Inland Empire area. DRMC is a teaching hospital with opportunities to work with residents in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice and Neurosurgery.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of California required
Graduate of an accredited program
At least one year NP/PA experience a plus but not required
Fluoro license preferred
Certification by the NCCPA or AANP
Certified to perform Basic Life Support and ACLS
COMPENSATION:
The salary for this position is $150,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
