University of the Incarnate Word is a Catholic institution that welcomes to its community persons of diverse backgrounds, in the belief that their respectful interaction advances the discovery of truth, mutual understanding, self-realization, and the common good.
Position Summary
The Student Worker supports the School of Nursing and Health Professions faculty and staff in their daily duties. This position reports to the Admissions Coordinator.
This position is funded by the Federal Work-Study program and is open to UIW students who are approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study Program.
Essential Functions
Essential functions include:
  • Provide support services for the administrative assistant, as well as faculty and staff.
  • Perform campus deliveries.
  • Filing.
  • Data entry.
  • Scanning.
  • Answering the office phone.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality when communicating with employees and students.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Employees shall adhere to all rules and regulations for the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Required Education
Due to the nature of this position, the selected candidate cannot be a nursing major or a health professions applicant.
Current UIW student approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study program.
