Job description

**Federal work-study students only**
POSITION DETAILS
Federal Work-Study (FWS) Internship Program: UVA Athletics Student Success Intern
This internship offers hands-on experience in student-athlete development across key areas in marketing and media. Interns will have the opportunity to tailor their experience based on interests and availability.
MEDIA AND MARKETING SKILLS
  • Create graphics for the Student Success and affinity groups, following UVA Athletics branding guidelines for external and internal communications

  • Utilize photo editing and graphic design software to provide a consistent style of digital advertising

  • Assist with technical and administrative support outreach for academic, leadership, community and career development initiatives

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with creative process to advertise upcoming events, including signature initiatives such as affinity groups events, career initiatives, Hoos Choice Awards, and learning academies

  • Work collaboratively with athletics staff to support student success workflow

  • Ensure compliance with NCAA, ACC, and UVA Honor Code regulations

  • Maintain detailed records on student-athlete interests progress

  • Other duties as assigned

Scheduling: 10-20 hours per week.
Compensation: $15/hr.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Resume required.
Education: Current undergrad UVA student. Federal Work-Study eligible.

Licensure: None
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
