Job Summary/Basic Function
The purpose of the Federal Work-Study Program is to give a student an opportunity to develop skills, gain on-the-job experience for future employment, and give the student flexibility to work around class schedules.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a Bay College student in the work study program to be considered for this position. Eligibility for work-study is determined after you file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Work-study requires that you are degree seeking and enrolled in a minimum of one credit that applies towards the semester you are employed.
  • You must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.

  • Clean bathrooms, Classrooms, mail rooms, Common areas.
  • Clean and disinfect tables and chairs.
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Vacuum carpeting
  • Shampoo carpets
  • Scrub trash cans as needed.
  • Clean windows
  • All general cleaning (vacuum, dusting, etc.)
  • Restock cleaning carts, and empty trash and recycle bags on your cart.
  • Empty trash in hallways and classrooms.
  • Empty and sort recycling as needed.
  • Paint
  • Light maintenance work
  • Lift and move chairs, tables, and other furniture up to 45 pounds
  • Other Duties as Assigned
