The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory Unlimited Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) - Military GPS User Equipment (MGUE) (NH-1102-04) to work for the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) in Los Angeles, CA.

Qualifications/Requirements:
In this position, you will serve as the chief business architect and Supervisory Unlimited Procuring Contracting Officer for the multi-billion dollar joint-force Military GPS User Equipment (MGUE) portfolio. You will translate critical military electronic protection and navigation requirements into state-of-the-art contracts, while leading and growing a contracting branch to deliver secure, jam-resistant Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) capabilities across the joint services.
U.S. Citizenship
Obtain maintain a Security clearance
This is a designated Drug Testing Position (if applicable)
Education requirements: Must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards and Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR) for the GS-1102 contracting series.
Current Air Force Unlimited Warrant is a prerequisite for this position.
DAWIA Certification: Must meet appropriate Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) contracting certification requirements.
Must be able to work 100% on-site in Los Angeles, CA (no remote or telework schedule is available due to security and mission requirements).

Expert Federal Contracting Knowledge: Deep understanding of Federal, Department of Defense, and Air Force contracting laws, regulations, and complex contract types.
Strategic Business Negotiations: Proven ability to analyze contract costs and pricing to structure highly effective business deals with industry partners.
Geographically Dispersed Team Leadership: Ability to supervise, mentor, and align teammates working across different locations and organizational boundaries.
Innovative Acquisition Pathways: Ability to design and execute novel, rapid contracting methods (such as Other Transaction Authorities (OTAs) and rapid prototyping) while leading senior-level, cross-functional teams.
*Occasional travel may be required to support geographically dispersed team members and joint program stakeholders.
