Description:

Primary Responsibilities: Development, enhancements, programming, processor back-ups debugging, troubleshooting and implementation of existing and/or new automation systems and machinery. Production support.

Secondary Responsibilities: Training, CNC and PLC programming, motion control programming, operator interface programming and fault recovery, robotic, vision and facility systems programming and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Troubleshooting, integration, programming of automated systems.
  • Works with Quality in the implementation of defect detection and scrap reduction.
  • Update existing systems as required.
  • Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the Supervisor
  • Complies with the following OSHA Safety Standards: Hazard Communication; Bloodborne Pathogens; Lockout; Permit Required Confined Space; Hot Work Permit; Powered Industrial Trucks; P.P.E. and Ergonomics
  • Complies with the current revisions of:
    • RIA ANSI/RIA R15.06 Safety requirements for industrial robots and robot systems
    • NFPA 70 National Electrical Code
    • NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety Requirements for Employee Workplaces
    • NFPA/ANSI 79 Electrical Standard for industrial equipment
    • ANSI/UL 1740 Safety Standard for robots and robotic equipment, and all other applicable standards governing the installation and safety of automated systems.
  • When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job.
  • Assists the maintenance department with troubleshooting production equipment.

Academic Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in automation systems – preferred
