Overview
We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager Energy - Remote. This remote position is based out of our Oak Ridge, TN office.
Your role
  • Supports a growing Commercial Nuclear Services business.
  • Experience in all aspects of procurement and supply chain activities including procurement planning, supplier negotiations, procurement of goods and services, supplier pre-approval and management, supplier relationship management, and supplier performance management.
  • Responsible for establishing relationships with suppliers on behalf of AtkinsRealis' Clients to delivery critical equipment and services to support project timelines.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving supplier relationships to support successful project delivery.
  • Responsible for providing overall leadership, direction and management for project procurement and supply chain initiatives, coordinating the supply of purchased finished goods and services and implementing processes that comply with applicable government and commercial regulations and the company's policies and procedures, to support business unit needs.
  • Works closely with the business units to ensure the highest possible level of customer service.
  • Develops and maintains global supplier relationships to ensure a capable and competitive supply base while producing continuous improvements in all aspects of supplier performance.
  • Responsible for the development of project procurement planning including identifying and planning long lead procurements and reporting on progress and performance against the plans.
  • Responsible for collaborating with the project team to develop procurement packages and secure upcoming project needs.
  • Responsible for the development, communication and execution of global sourcing of raw materials and services.
  • Monitors key spending trends, cost drivers and market factors for key commodities.
  • Responsible for analysis and strategy for supplier competitive analysis, performance metrics, research techniques, sourcing strategies, risk mitigation and contract management.
  • Responsible for identification, management and mitigation of supply chain risks.
  • Manages all facets of procurement activities including vendor evaluations, site audits and continuous improvement processes for suppliers.
  • Locates, analyzes, develops and maintains a consolidated supply base to meet current and future needs for all purchased materials and services.
  • Responsible for the setup and implementation of EPCM procurement processes and applications.
  • Drives continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process through benchmarking best-in-class processes.
  • Negotiates pricing, delivery, terms and conditions.
  • Ensures purchase orders, contracts and supply agreements conform to company policies and procedures.
  • Drives annual reductions in purchase price variance and manages annual cost roll.
  • Establishes supplier benchmark metrics, tracks performance and executes corporate initiatives.
  • Maintains positive and effective working relationships with vendors/suppliers to accomplish group goals in an ethical manner.
  • Proactively develops new suppliers in support of sourcing initiatives.
  • Manages staff selection, development and retention. Establishes and monitors work goals and objectives.
  • Evaluates employees through performance reviews, ongoing coaching and feedback methods.
  • Provides direction and guidance to staff on all procurement matters.
  • Prepares and administers budget according to plan. Monitors budget variances.
  • Provides explanations on variances and takes appropriate action.
  • Follows organizational policies and procedures and ensures staff is in compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

About you
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field.
  • Requires 10 years of procurement or supply chain management experience, to include five (5) years of personnel management experience.
  • Fifteen (15) years of procurement or supply chain management experience preferred.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, new supplier selection and supplier audits.
  • Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills; works well with a cross functional team.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills to solve poorly defined problems.
  • Working knowledge of contract law and contract terms and conditions.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Nuclear Reactor Construction experience preferred.
  • International procurement experience preferred.
  • Established relationships with suppliers for nuclear reactor design and construction projects preferred.
  • U.S Sourcing/purchasing certification (e.g., Certified Purchasing Manager or Certified in Production and Inventory Management) preferred.
  • Also preferable is field experience supporting large nuclear projects, construction projects, and/or US Department of Energy projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of Procurement and Supplier Management Applications preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to be considered.

Additional information
Expected compensation range is between $113,000 - $188,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
