Application Engineer, Database / .Net Web - Work From Home
This Application Engineer position is 100% Remote with possible quarterly in office team training in Brentwood, TN.
We are seeking an Application Engineer, Database / .Net Web to join the development team working in the latest versions of the SQL technology stack. The team relies on design patterns, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other best practices. The Application Engineer must be able to follow corporate guidelines for code management and deployment. Must be able to work independently and lead large projects.
Experience developing new and maintaining existing SQL database/.NET web applications. Assist with creating, maintaining, and performance tuning existing SQL processes. Must be able to follow corporate guidelines for code management and deployment. The team relies on design patterns, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other best practices. Technology used may include C#, ASP.Net MVC, LINQ, JQuery, AJAX, JavaScript, ORM, NHibernate, SQL Server or SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Server.
Responsibilities:
- Manage development projects through inception, elaboration, development, testing, and implementation with the help of other assigned resources.
- Develop new applications that replace the current manual processes.
- Develop dynamic web sites and applications using ASP.Net MVC, T-SQL, JQuery.
- Enhance/Support existing .Net applications.
- Develop .NET applications.
- SQL Development, query structure, new SQL Development.
- Provide technical and software support for customer support efforts.
- Research data issues/questions.
- Work as part of a team and independently.
- Work collaboratively with business analysts on project requirements.
- Assume a lead role with other engineers on the team ,providing guidance on software architecture, design decisions, and mentoring.
- Complete Unit Testing and participate in Peer/Code Reviews of other developers work.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 3-7 years of development experience.
- Ability to write complex MS SQL queries.
- Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, JQuery, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers and superiors.
- Ability to operate and communicate effectively while under pressure.
- Experience as an effective member of teams.
- C# .NET Development skills.
- Knowledge of MVC, LINQ, AJAX.
- Knowledge of Clinical Applications.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
