HVAC technicians can earn $100,000 or more annually with experience, advanced certifications, and specialization in areas like commercial or industrial systems. Entry-level salaries are typically lower, but experienced professionals with skills in system design and troubleshooting can reach or exceed this income level.

What is the highest paying apprenticeship trade?

In the HVAC industry, apprenticeships that lead to specialized roles such as refrigeration technicians or commercial HVAC installers tend to offer higher wages. These roles often require additional certifications and skills, and apprentices who complete advanced training can earn higher starting salaries compared to general HVAC apprenticeships.

Is 27 too late to start HVAC?

Starting an HVAC apprenticeship at age 27 is common and feasible, as many programs welcome adult learners. Success depends on your commitment to learning technical skills, obtaining certifications, and gaining hands-on experience, which can lead to a rewarding career in HVAC regardless of age.

Can I do an HVAC apprenticeship online?

HVAC apprenticeships typically require hands-on training and in-person work experience, making fully online programs uncommon. Some programs may offer online coursework for theoretical knowledge, but practical skills are usually learned through on-site training and supervised work. Certification and licensing often require in-person assessments and practical exams.
