ABA Classroom Paraprofessional
Qualifications:
60 college credits or a passing score on the ParaPro Exam required.ย 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Some or all of the following duties and responsibilities may apply)
The ABA Paraprofessional assists the teacher and the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) instruction for students with Autism and related disabilities.

  • Serves as confidential paraprofessional ABA instructional aide to the classroom teachers
  • Provides discrete trial instruction (DTI)
  • Maintains appropriate documentation on discrete trials, behavior data and graphing
  • Analyzes data collected during discrete trials and works with teacher / BCBA to develop instructional programs for the student
  • Assists with the maintenance and upkeep of student data, work and graphs
  • Demonstrates initiative and creativity with students and their programming
  • Accompanies students to related services, specials, etc. throughout the school, as needed
  • Assists with the setup of the classroom and prepares materials for assigned students
  • Confers and consults with staff and administrators regarding students' needs
  • Provides student assessment as directed by classroom teacher and BCBA
  • May assist students with Activities of Daily Living skills (e.g., feeding, toileting, brushing teeth, etc.
  • May accompany students to job sites during Work-Based Learning (grades 11 and 12 only)
  • Attends training as required
  • Supervises students on field trips
  • Other duties as assigned by classroom teacher, BCBA and administration

Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, reaching, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, must be able to see and hear the entire classroom.

Salary: $24.49 - $27.46 hourly rateย
