Job Description:
Title: Work-Based Learning (WBL) Coordinator
Classification: Non-Exempt
Salary: $55,000/yr
Scope of Position: The Work-Based Learning Coordinator will develop, manage, and oversee worksite placements for paid work experience, internships, and other work-based learning opportunities for jobseekers.
Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Recruit, screen, and approve worksites in alignment with WIOA and HGCY criteria
โ€ข Conduct worksite inspections and ensure youth-friendly, safe environments
โ€ข Support employers with onboarding, supervision guidelines, and agreements
โ€ข Monitor youth placements to ensure skill-building and occupational exposure
โ€ข Track and document skills attainment
โ€ข Coordinate and process youth timekeeping and payroll
โ€ข Other opportunities as available
Education and Experience Requirements:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
โ€ข Knowledge of workplace safety and supervision standards
โ€ข Experience working with employers and community partners
โ€ข Understanding of occupational skills frameworks and training alignment
โ€ข Strong organizational and negotiation skills
โ€ข Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base, with the ability to be culturally sensitive
โ€ข Ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them towards achieving goals
โ€ข Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures
โ€ข Experience in workforce development
โ€ข Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
