Hiawatha Valley Education District is seeking a talented Work Based Learning Coordinator to serve multiple school districts within the Education District.
Essential Responsibilities Include (but not limited to): - Instructs students and develops work experiences for students with disabilities
- Present competencies as directed by Minnesota Department of Education
- Maintains existing vocational opportunities while developing new community partnerships
- Promotes student learning in self-awareness/advocacy, disability awareness, and transition services
- Act as an essential team member of the transitions program by participating in team meetings, IEP meetings and overall positive team culture
- Work with other staff members in implementing accommodations and modifications
- Maintain accurate and complete student records, and prepare reports on students as required by law, policies, and administrative regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:- Licensure as a Special Education Teacher required
- Licensure in Work Based Learning or enrolled in Work Based Learning program required
- Experience working with transition age students preferred
- Experience arranging community vocational opportunities preferred
- Must be able to work in team decision-making situations
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication and consulting skills
- Ability to use technology as a management and instruction tool
- Valid driver's license
Travel Requirements: - Travel between member districts is required.
Working Conditions: - Office, lifting, sitting, standing, pushing, pulling, keyboarding, etc.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Salary Range: - $54,963 - $89,988 (based on education and experience). Full benefits package available.

Winona, Minnesota.
