Job description

Pay: $58/hr (based on experience) and $125/day per diem for qualified travelers
Duration: On going 50-60hrs a week
Project: New Commercial Construction

Skillforce is currently seeking experienced Electricians for an on-going construction project in Cedar Rapids, IA. This is a long-term opportunity for skilled electricians who can work independently and lead by example on a fast-paced job site.

Electrician Job Scope:

  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
  • Run conduit (EMT, rigid), wire, and terminate devices
  • Install panels, switchgear, and lighting systems
  • Ensure all work meets NEC codes and job site standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as needed

Electrician Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician
  • Must have Class A Journeyman Electrical License
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of NEC codes and safety standards
  • Must have reliable transportation and basic tools
  • OSHA certification is a plus
