Responsibilities:

  • Lead concrete projects effectively and efficiently
  • Allocate general and daily responsibilities to your team that you’ll be working with on daily projects
  • Train and develop your team
  • Understanding design layouts and blueprints
  • Ensure attention to detail and follow safety standards including completing daily pre-task plans/risk assessments
  • Monitor, and report daily work progress through written summaries and job site tickets with pictures

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the commercial and industrial setting
  • Ability to layout jobs from reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Basic math & geometry knowledge– area, elevation, pitch
  • Assemble engineered formwork systems
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred
  • Laser level/theodolite/transit experience required
  • Install reinforcing steel per design
  • Concrete placement and finishing
  • Trenching & excavation – shoring, sloping, shielding and soil classification
  • Calculate & order material
  • Ability to work effectively with all personality types
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
  • Self-directed and can work independently
  • Valid driver’s license – Chauffeurs or CDL-A license preferred

Equipment experience:

  • Aerial lift and forklift experience required
  • Overhead crane and mobile crane experience preferred
  • Daily inspection and preventative maintenance of equipment
  • Front end loader, skid steer and excavator experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height.
  • Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
  • Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards
  • Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to work in cold/hot environments.
  • Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
