General Summary
Manages study abroad programs and advises students about study abroad program options.
Major Duties
  • Manages study abroad programs by coordinating with international partners and maintaining program information, including costs, dates, academic details, and application requirements.
  • Reviews and evaluates foreign coursework for study abroad credit.
  • Advises students on study abroad program options, financial information, travel logistics, health and safety information and other program details.
  • Collaborates with other departments, faculty and staff to develop marketing and recruiting plans for study abroad programs.
  • Organizes events, information sessions, workshops, orientations and more to support student participation in study abroad programs.
  • Works in the University's study abroad system to evaluate and process student applications and update program information.
  • Collaborates with administrative and academic units, faculty and staff in support of the administration of study abroad programs.
  • Supervises and trains study abroad student workers.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
  • Two years' relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills. International work or study experience.
  • Proficiency in a second language.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working in a study abroad or international office as a full-time employee, student or intern.
