The Representative Patient Financial Clearence Customer Service is responsible for inbound/outbound calls and/or written inquiries from patients, attorneys, insurance companies and vendors with questions, issues, and concerns related to hospital and physician office visits. The Representative Patient Financial Clearence Customer Service will provide an excellent support and ensuring our commitment to the values of Mosaic Life Care. The daily functions will include but are not limited to processing and inputting patient data, fulfilling document requests, maintaining performance and quality standards. Additionally, The Representative Patient Financial Clearence Customer Care will always ensure compliance with confidential data, stay abreast of changing policies and/or procedures related to Mosaic Life Care policies. The Representative Patient Financial Clearence Customer Service will work under direction from Customer Service Manager to ensure service delivery is consistently high-quality and escalate issues to team lead or functional caregivers as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Takes inbound calls from patients, attorneys, insurance companies and vendors.
- Makes outbound follow up calls and outbound calls to assist in resolution of accounts.
- Responds to written inquiries from patients, attorneys, insurance companies and vendors.
- Assists with account resolution by discussing payment and financial assistance options.
- Processes and inputs patient data and fulfilling document requests.
- Maintains performance and quality standards which includes aiding in the prevention of abandoned calls.
- Ensure compliance with confidential data, including HIPAA compliance.
- De-escalates patient complaints related to current or past due services and/or balances.
- Researches the patient accounting system to assist the patient with any questions related to previous visits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- H.S. Diploma - Required
- Associate's Degree - Preferred
Work Experience
- 1 Year - Experience with Customer Service - Required
- 1 Year - Experience with Health Care office - Preferred
