Part-time position, not to exceed 28 hours weekly

Hourly rate: $15.35


***NOTE: This position is posted year-round and filled as needed.


City of Florissant is accepting applications for part-time Receptionist at our Community Center. This position will provide customer service and assists in supporting and enforcing the rules, regulations, programs, and safety of these patrons.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets, monitors, and directs all incoming customers and patrons using the facility
  • Receives, answers, and/or routs incoming phone calls to the facility
  • Responds to public inquiries and provides general information to the public
  • Registers participants and collects appropriate fees for a variety of programs, classes, activities, and special events
  • Responsible for cash management
  • Processes Resident photo ID cards, City employees badges, and solicitor badges for the Finance Department
  • Collects usage fees for the Swimming Pool and Racquetball Court and processes the payment for City merchandise and facility guest passes
  • Processes revenue and facility usage reports and statistical information
  • Issues game room, gymnasium, and recreation rental equipment to facility patrons
  • Processes annual and seasonal membership passes for Department facilities
  • May assist Department staff in the instruction of programs and classes, and in conducting special events and community activities
  • Provides clerical support for the Department as assigned
  • Performs other duties as directed
  • Knowledge of clerical practices and standards
  • Knowledge of basic computer software, such as word processing and data entry
  • Ability to operate office equipment and cash register
  • Ability to demonstrate professional public relations skills, and have effective interpersonal and communication skills
Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

18 years of age having acquired a high school diploma. Some college and one year of related work is preferred.
