Summary

The Access Control Specialist provides customer service and records/database management. 

**The shift for this position will be primarily for weekdays and the occasional night shift.**


Responsibilities
  • Provide access control services via a central access control point with video monitoring of all entrances and egresses.
  • Provide exceptional customer service support.
  • Meet, greet, and interact professionally with employees, VIPs, and the public.
  • Must be able to maintain electronic database using Microsoft Office platform and/or any legacy systems.
  • Responsible for safeguarding all USG equipment, information, and property provided.
  • Participate in emergency evacuation drills as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • (1) year experience working with access control, facility security, and security administration on USG installations or facilities
  • Two (2) years of experience with a DOD and/or government federal agencies and familiarity with adjudication process for security clearances.
  • One (1) year of experience providing customer service and records/database management in a DoD environment.
  • Must have a working knowledge of DoD Enterprise Architecture framework (i.e., SIPR, NIPR).
  • Active Secret clearance.

  • Ability to use a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
