Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Operator runs, cleans, and maintains basic packaging equipment to ensure that all finished products meet
customer, MFI, and USDA specifications.
This position has the responsibility to comply with safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce
safety as a core value. Ensure that all policies, procedures, and activities related to food safety & quality are
followed and complied with uniformly to reduce product and process variability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Team player who aligns and upholds our values: Teamwork, Accountability, Innovation and
Continuous Improvement and passion for customer and consumers
• Attendance is essential to perform duties
• Responsible for loading boxes into machines
• Must form and empty boxes accordingly
• Observe operations of equipment and identify issues; troubleshoot /repair minor issues
• Responsible for all sanitation duties each machine requires
• Ability to set-up/tear down all equipment and keep work area around the machines clean
• Maintain all required record-keeping for shift reporting
• Assume personal responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to
all safety policies/procedures and incorporate safety and health in all job duties/tasks
• Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions
and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report any conditions or practices that may
adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediately
• Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED:
• High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent years of experience
preferred
• Must have a good understanding and knowledge of the machines
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement,
volume and distance.
• Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and
differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple
sentences.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or
diagram form.


PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Workers are required to wear proper PPE such as hair nets, ear plugs, and certain areas require
earmuffs
• Ability to bend, stoop and reach above shoulder level
• Frequent walking and standing
• Ability to work indoors in wet and humid environments and stand on hard surfaces
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs

The pay range for this position is $17.80 to $21.00 per hour.Qualifications:
