Position Summary

The Woodworker is responsible for building and shaping wood components used in elevator cab construction and related products. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documents, and the safe operation of woodworking tools and machinery.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in craftsmanship and quality.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine materials and specifications

  • Operate woodworking machinery including saws, routers, planers, drill presses, and sanders

  • Assemble components using nails, screws, adhesives, and other fastening tools

  • Inspect raw wood materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met

  • Adjust machinery settings to maintain product accuracy and consistency

  • Perform light maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of tools and equipment

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Participate in cross-training and team collaboration as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Experience in woodworking, cabinet making, carpentry, construction, or manufacturing

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and technical documents

  • Comfortable operating hand tools and power tools

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team


Physical Demands & Work Environment

This position is located in a manufacturing/production environment and may involve:

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching

  • Use of hand and power tools

  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

  • Lifting materials and components as needed

  • Exposure to typical manufacturing noise levels

  • Working around woodworking machinery and equipment
