Certco, Inc. is seeking a Merchandiser to support the brand-new Woodman's store in Plainfield, Illinois. This is a unique opportunity to play an important role in establishing our presence at a new location while helping create an outstanding shopping experience from day one.

What You'll Do

As a Merchandiser, you'll be Certco's primary representative inside the new Woodman's store, ensuring our products are stocked, organized, and presented to customers at the highest level.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Placing and reviewing replenishment orders using handheld order entry devices. 
  • Stocking shelves and maintaining attractive, well-organized displays. 
  • Building eye-catching promotional and seasonal displays. 
  • Supporting new item placement, planograms, and store resets. 
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for Certco products within the store. 
  • Providing outstanding customer service and assisting customers when needed. 
  • Partnering with store management and Certco team members to ensure excellent execution. 
  • Assisting with annual food shows and maintaining strong supplier relationships. 

As part of a new store opening, you'll have the opportunity to help establish merchandising standards and contribute to the success of the location from the very beginning.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: Choose your own hours!


Job Summary:

Provides support for the Woodman's stores by placing orders, stocking, building and maintaining promotional displays, new item placement and other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Complete restocking orders using order entry units
  • Stock shelves with general merchandise
  • Maintain promotional displays
  • New item placement
  • Help in store resets
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Tear down general merchandise pallets
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
  • Is regular in attendance and complies with the Company Attendance Policy

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of grocery store operations
  • Skill in operating various office equipment, such as personal computer, calculator, fax and order units
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Provide a high level of energy to the position
  • Ability to stay extremely organized
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Education and Experience:

High school graduate or equivalent and excellent math skills.
