Job description

Wood Designs located in Monroe, NC is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate to help us maintain our reputation for high quality products and quick shipping.

Responsibilities:

  • Transporting finished products and raw materials between the factory and distribution centers.
  • Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools.
  • Forklift driving (Training and Certification Provided)
  • Utilize handheld barcode scanners to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Read, interpret, and follow basic written/verbal instructions or procedures to accurately pick, pack, ship orders for ground or LTL shipping and put away raw materials and products in a warehouse setting.
  • Loading, unloading, and wrapping furniture on delivery trucks.
  • Checking in returns along with verifying damages
  • Organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers, using hand tools.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

  • Age over 18.
  • 1+ year experience in production/warehouse preferred
  • Basic math and communication skills required.
  • Ability to lift heavy items.
  • Availability to commit to work schedule and prompt arrival for shifts.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
