You'll partner closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative teams to support a seamless surgical experience for every patient.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in a women's health-focused environment.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including assessment, verification of orders, and patient education.
- Coordinate and implement individualized plans of care across the perioperative continuum.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure safe, efficient procedures.
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes using strong clinical judgment and evidence-based practice.
- Support intraoperative and immediate post-operative care as needed.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and follow-up care.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.
Required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or another compact licensure state.
Preferred
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Previous surgery or perioperative nursing experience.
