Job description

Government Special Security Officer (GSSO)
Position Description:
Network Runners is seeking four (4) Government Special Security Officers to support the 414th Combat Training Squadron Red Flag Vault Operations mission at Nellis Air Force Base. The GSSOs will provide physical, personnel, industrial, information, STO, SAP, and SCI security support for Red Flag exercises and limited Weapons School Mission Integration activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the security aspects of SCIFs, SAP facilities, and co-use facilities while supporting STO GSSO, SSO SSR, and SAP GSSO functions.
  • Conduct CAB indoctrinations for U.S. and multinational personnel in coordination with designated subject-matter experts.
  • Process Program Access Requests for STO and SAP/SCI personnel and support related badging and access-control activities.
  • Provide introductory SAP briefings, local SAP procedures briefings, SAP profiles, and in-processing/out-processing support.
  • Maintain Top Secret control accounts and strict accountability of classified documents and materials.
  • Develop and implement procedures for safeguarding, storage, access control, transmission, reproduction, and destruction of classified information.
  • Support foreign national processing for applicable Red Flag exercises and coordinate multinational event requests, IT requests, and waivers.
  • Conduct and document security self-inspections, assess security posture, and recommend corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
  • Investigate actual or suspected loss, compromise, or inadvertent disclosure of classified information.
  • Support classified warfare planning, exercise briefings, debriefings, and other Red Flag mission activities, including possible VDO shifts.

Minimum Education / Experience / Requirements:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting security management support for TS/SCI, STO, and SAP programs supporting joint or multinational exercises.
  • Knowledge of physical, personnel, industrial, information, STO, SAP, SCI, and collateral security disciplines.
  • Knowledge of IJSTO CJCSI policies, CAB Management Plans, security concepts of operations, and STO requirements.
  • Knowledge of SAP/SCI guidance and policy at ACC, USAFWC, DIA, 57 WG, DoD Manual 5205.07, and other applicable DoD guidance.
  • Knowledge of personnel security administration, program access processing, foreign national coordination, and access-control/badging systems.
  • Basic knowledge of COMSEC policies, operating instructions, and emergency action plans.
  • Experience in Specialty Code/Series 0080 or at least one year of classified vault management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain and maintain TS/SCI, STO, and SAP access.
