Job description

Froehlich's in Three Oaks, MI is looking to hire a full-time Prep Cook to prepare and cook delicious dishes for our guests. Are you looking to build a successful culinary career? This cooking position works Thursday - Monday with mandatory weekends and earns a competitive wage of $15 - $20/hour, depending on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LINE - PREP COOK

As a Line - Prep Cook, you set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies to prepare food for service. This includes chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces! You cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff, ensuring that you are following recipes and complying with sanitation regulations. As you ensure nothing is burnt or undercooked, you also make sure orders come out of the kitchen simultaneously and in a timely manner. Your other responsibilities include cleaning the kitchen area, taking care of leftover food, and stocking inventory. When interacting with coworkers and customers, you are always positive and professional. You feel a great sense of accomplishment creating delicious dishes that our customers love!


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LINE - PREP COOK

  • Cooking experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Familiar with industry's best practices
