Job description

Dark Wolf is seeking a motivated, security-conscious Tier 2 IT Support Engineer to join our internal IT group. In this role, you will serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, managing a broad spectrum of internal systems spanning corporate networks, cloud environments, identity management, and end-user support.The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in modern IT infrastructure, a passion for troubleshooting, and a desire to grow within a fast-paced, high-tech national security contractor environment. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving advanced hardware, software, network, and cloud access issues escalated from Tier 1 help desk support.
  • Monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting core internal networking and cloud network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VPN configurations, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Deploying, patching, and securing internal endpoints (Windows, macOS, Linux) utilizing Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining internal knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and automated scripts to streamline routine IT support workflows.
  • Partnering with internal security, DevOps, and engineering teams to ensure corporate IT assets comply with organizational security policies and zero-trust guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
  • 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a corporate IT support, help desk, system administration, or network operations role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows 11, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience administering cloud productivity suites (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) and basic cloud resource troubleshooting (AWS/Azure).
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and firewall rules).
  • Demonstrated ability to independently research, test, and implement solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a proven track record of supporting technical and non-technical internal stakeholders.
  • US Citizenship and the ability to be cleared up to a Secret security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:
  • CompTIA Security+.
  • Tier 1 help desk experience.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, development tools/environments.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automating IT administrative tasks.
  • Building and maintaining security-complaint systems.
  • Familiarity with basic NIST or corporate security compliance framework.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience.

The estimated salary range for this role is $70,000.00 - $100,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
