Job description

Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. We are seeking energetic, outgoing individuals to join the Howl Squad and help create an unforgettable game-day experience for our fans.  This role is ideal for candidates who are confident engaging with large crowds, comfortable appearing on camera, and enthusiastic about bringing excitement and entertainment to every event.

As a member of the Howl Squad, you will work alongside Sonar to energize the arena, interact with fans, and enhance the game-night atmosphere.  This position plays a key role in delivering a fun, engaging, and memorable experience for thousands of fans throughout each game.

This role pays an hourly rate of $16.94

PeoplesBank Arena is also home to the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, the primary developmental affiliate of the New York Rangers. PeoplesBank Arena entertains millions of visitors annually with a variety of concerts, family shows, and ice-skating spectaculars throughout the season. The venue has played host to an extraordinary roster of world-renowned artists, including Sabrina Carpenter, Andrea Bocelli, Bad Bunny, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Pearl Jam, and many others.


  • Work during Wolf Pack Game Nights/Days to bring the energy to PeoplesBank Arena
  • Assist in setting up Sonar’s Locker
  • Organize and manage pregame group assets
  • Greet and interact with fans throughout the game
  • Select fans to participate in promo timeouts and intermission activities
  • Assist with the setup and activation of promo timeouts and intermission activities
  • Willingness to be on camera and serve as a hype person for the fans

  • Experience working on a Cheer / Dance / Hype squad, or have a similar background to bring the energy to Peoples Bank Arena is preferred.
  • Relevant experience, education, training or demonstrated interest in sports management, marketing, promotions, game operations, or related areas is preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to traverse a variety of terrain and floor surfaces, including stairs, escalators, carpet, concrete, and ice.
  • Ability to work at heights, in darkened areas, around crowds, with loud noise, and with flashing lights.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in fast-paced environments and stressful situations.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects as needed
  • Must be available for 80% of games, not guaranteed to be scheduled for all available dates.
  • Ability to skate on ice is not necessary, but a plus.
