Job description

Firewatch / Security Guard

Job Title: Fire Watch Security Officer

Location: Sanford, NC

Schedule:

  • Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

Requirements
  • Active North Carolina Security Guard License (Required)
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Weekend availability required
Responsibilities
  • Conduct continuous walking patrols to identify fire hazards and unsafe conditions.
  • Monitor designated areas and immediately report fire hazards, emergencies, or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate fire watch logs and incident reports.
  • Ensure emergency exits and fire access areas remain clear.
  • Follow all site post orders, company policies, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and alert presence throughout the shift.
Qualifications
  • Strong observation and communication skills.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to remain alert, exercise sound judgment, and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
