Position Overview

The Warehouse Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing inventory control activities within the distribution center to ensure accurate stock levels, efficient processes, and operational consistency. This role focuses on executing inventory strategies, maintaining data integrity, and supporting daily warehouse operations.ย 

The position partners closely with operations, finance, and cross-functional teams to manage inventory accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and improve workflow efficiency within the facility.ย 

Supervisory responsibilities
  • This position may supervise inventory control associates orย leadsย within the warehouseย 
  • Provide daily direction, support, and oversight of inventory-related activitiesย 
Duties and responsibilities
  • Inventory Managementย 
    • ย Oversee daily inventory operations, including cycle counts, adjustments, and reconciliationsย 
    • ย Ensure accuracy of inventory records within warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERPย 
    • ย Monitor stock levels and identify discrepancies or variancesย 
    • ย Investigate and resolve inventory issues in a timely mannerย 
    • ย Support inventory balancing within the facilityย 
  • Process Execution & Improvementย 
    • Ensure inventory control processes and procedures are followed consistentlyย 
    • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiencyย 
    • Support root cause analysis of discrepancies and implement corrective actionsย 
    • Assist in maintaining and updating SOPs related to inventory processesย 
  • Systems & Dataย 
    • Utilize WMS and ERP systems to track inventory activity and maintain data accuracyย 
    • ย Support system updates, testing, and issue resolution related to inventory processesย 
    • ย Maintain awareness of system errors and work with appropriate teams to resolve issuesย 
  • ย Reporting & Analysis
    • Track and report key inventory metrics such as accuracy, adjustments, and discrepanciesย 
    • ย Analyze trends and provide insights to support operational decision-makingย 
    • ย Maintain documentation and reporting for inventory-related activitiesย 
  • Collaborationย 
    • Work closely with warehouse operations to support inventory flow and accuracyย
