Job description

Building Location:Virginia ClinicDepartment:2611550 URGENT CARE - VMACJob Description:Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.Education Qualifications:

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, they work independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. APPs provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
PRACTICE SPECIFICS:

  • Sites of service will be Virginia, Duluth, and Superior, Wisconsin.

  • This position is a fast paced, acute walk-in care setting.

  • Perks of the position: Acute care, 1:1 provider to staff ratio, excellent team, opportunity to work at top of licensure, high level of autonomy.

  • New Graduates welcome to apply.

  • Desired skill set: suturing, ortho, positive attitude and innovation.

  • Ideal candidate will have experience in Urgent Care or Family Medicine

  • Shift: 9 am - 8 pm Monday - Friday; 8am - 6pm Saturday - Sunday

  • 0.9 FTE

  • Anticipated Schedule: 10 hour days, every third weekend

Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation.

Licensure/CertificationQualifications:

EDUCATION:

Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing or master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Current NP/PA licensure in Minnesota and Wisconsin Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota and Wisconsin Current certification in CPR. National certification, in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
