Job Summary

Miller Electric- The VDC Manager

Compensation Range: $67.30/hr - $80/hr

The VDC Manager plays a vital role in assuring the VDC process is efficient and progressing. Mentor and guide the VDC team, providing direction and support rather than direct instruction, helping them to navigate departmental processes and successfully achieve project milestones. #miller # LI-JJ1

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Hold direct reports accountable for managing production
  • Help to guide the development of the VDC strategic plan through coordinating with the management of the group.
  • Facilitates cross pollination of the VDC facets
  • Facilitates innovation within the department from the VDC perspective
  • Emphasizes and cultivates innovation mentality on a broader department wide
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal clients that facilitate efficient VDC processes.
  • Identify and mitigate VDC risks based on experience.
  • Leadership to department heads in a fashion that supports the company’s culture, mission and values.
  • Facilitates the sharing of knowledge and experience across the organization
  • Support ideas for innovation and contribute to them.
  • Verify efficiency tools are being used by all.
  • Gather and contribute to prospective project marketing documents
  • Develop project VDC budget estimates
  • Review and track VDC budget estimates.
  • Route opportunities to the appropriate coordinator.
