Job Title: Senior Network Engineer Overview / Summary A Senior Network Engineer Consultant is needed to support the Network Operations Center (NOC). Reporting to the NOC Manager, this role serves as a technical resource for the team, working on complex networking assignments that require independent judgment in troubleshooting, recommending solutions, and implementing changes with minimal supervision. This position supports a statewide network environment and contributes advanced technical expertise to maintain secure, reliable network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade networking products. Manage, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a statewide network infrastructure. Monitor network performance and maintain efficient network communications. Review and improve security compliance through cybersecurity best practices. Implement updates and changes to maintain optimal connectivity and secure version compliance. Troubleshoot network failures and identify network issues. Perform network analysis, design, installation, configuration, and support. Maintain network diagrams and other network documentation. Provide configuration, troubleshooting, and problem resolution support. Troubleshoot and remediate issues within a complex, voice-integrated infrastructure. Collaborate with multiple technical teams in a fast-paced environment. Support multiple tasks simultaneously. Provide knowledge transfer and informal training to team members when appropriate. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree OR four additional years of relevant experience in addition to the required years of experience. 10+ years of experience with Cisco firewalls. 10+ years of experience with Cisco routers. 10+ years of experience with Cisco switches. 10+ years of experience with Cisco VPN. 10+ years of experience with Cisco administration. 5+ years of experience with Palo Alto firewalls. Experience managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure utilizing technologies including Cisco/Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet/FortiGate, Certes, Citrix NetScaler, and Trellix. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of experience with monitoring and tracing tools. 10+ years of experience in core network architecture. 10+ years of experience with advanced troubleshooting, routing, and switching. 4+ years of experience with wireless networks. 3+ years of experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure.
