About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Telecom Estimator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in telecommunications construction and a passion for delivering accurate, competitive, and well-documented estimates. Youโ€™ll play a key role in supporting our wireless, fiber, DAS, and small cell infrastructure projects from concept through bid submission.

Key Responsibilities Estimating & Technical Expertise
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for telecom infrastructure projects including small cell, fiber, DAS, and tower builds.
  • Utilize estimating software such as B2W, HeavyBid, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or Excel-based models.
  • Interpret construction drawings, blueprints, scopes of work, and technical specifications with precision.
  • Analyze labor, material, subcontractor, and unit pricing to ensure competitive and accurate bids.
  • Compile complete bid packages, proposals, and scopes of work for submission.
Project & Business Acumen
  • Understand the full project lifecycle: design, permitting, construction, and closeout.
  • Identify and price changes, omissions, and RFI impacts with accuracy.
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes, ensuring proper leveling and scope alignment.
  • Maintain awareness of how estimates affect project margins, risk, and resource planning.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to validate scope and production rates.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and client discussions to clarify scope and expectations.
  • Document all assumptions, exclusions, and clarifications clearly and professionally.
Attributes & Work Ethic
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail and consistency in all estimating documentation.
  • Manage multiple RFQs and meet tight deadlines with strong time management skills.
  • Apply creative problem-solving to address design gaps, schedule constraints, or ambiguous scopes.
  • Take full ownership of estimates and stand behind the quality of your work.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 3โ€“5 years of experience in telecom construction or estimating.
  • Proven experience with wireless infrastructure projects (small cell, fiber, DAS, tower).
