Job description

Radio System Installer & RF Field Technician / Installer

Radio One is a well-established wireless communications company headquartered in Norcross, Georgia, with 28 years of experience designing, selling, installing, and servicing digital wireless communications systems. We serve Public Safety and Commercial customers throughout Georgia and beyond.

Due to significant recent growth, we are expanding our service team and are seeking experienced Radio System Installers and RF Field Technicians/Installers.

Radio System Installer

Starting Pay: $20.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are looking for experienced installers who take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy working directly with customers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience installing electronic equipment in vehicles
  • Good understanding of basic electronics and electrical systems
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot installation issues and complete work accurately
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work independently

Primary Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations throughout Georgia and occasionally out of state
  • Install mobile and portable radios and related communications equipment
  • Install and service radio communication systems
  • Install BDA (Bi-Directional Amplifier) systems for Public Safety and Commercial customers
  • Perform installations according to company and industry standards
  • Maintain a clean, professional work environment and deliver top-quality workmanship

RF Field Technician / Installer

Starting Pay: $29.00–$36.00 per hour, depending on experience and current radio-system technology knowledge

We are seeking an experienced RF Field Technician/Installer with strong electronics knowledge and solid RF troubleshooting skills. Experience with Public Safety radio systems and P25 technology is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of electronics and RF troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Proficient with RF test equipment, including:
    • Spectrum analyzers
    • Antenna sweep analyzers
    • Watt meters
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Voltmeters
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing wireless communications systems
  • Public Safety radio system experience preferred
  • P25 radio system experience is a strong plus
  • Ability to diagnose problems, identify solutions, and perform necessary repairs
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills

Primary Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations throughout Georgia and occasionally out of state
  • Troubleshoot, test, and repair radio communications systems
  • Perform RF testing and system diagnostics
  • Identify equipment and system issues and make necessary repairs
  • Perform occasional radio system and equipment installations
  • Communicate professionally with customers and provide dependable field service
