Day Shift

$30-$40.00


Job Responsibilities:

· Read and understand manufacturing assembly processes and mechanical drawings.

· Maintain current technical certifications for: Flight Harness and Cable, NASA Solder and Torque Certification.

· Maintain all required Maxar certifications for ESD, Contamination Control, Flight Hardware Handling and Hazardous Waste management.

· Use wire stripping & crimping tools, heat guns, exacto knives, torque tools & soldering irons.

· Track engineering changes and perform rework to incorporate harness ECR's as required.

· Perform harness rework in test and supporting harness work in some other areas including work off site and traveling.

· Perform flight harness testing includes maintaining all test adapters.

· Fabricate fixtures for spacecraft harnesses.

· Support engineering to build new developed harnesses as well as harness CI & I project.

· Provide training to the newcomer and/or less experienced technician.

Minimum Requirements:

· Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 10 years of related electrical, mechanical or electronic assembly experience. Experience must include 2 year wire harness fabrication for aerospace industrial

· Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekend as needed.

· Must be able to lift of 25 lbs minimum.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

· Ability to inspect own work using microscope up to 10x magnification.

· Work with pre-released engineering and BOMs to developed non-flight hardware in and R&D capacity.

· Skill in operating automate wire cutting and labeling machine and various hand to power crimp tools.

· Proficient with computers and the ability to use MS office.
