Job description

Wanco Inc. is seeking a Wire Harness Assembler in our Aurora, CO production facility.

Summary:

Perform wire harness assembly duties as needed by the company and under the direction of the Production Manager, and the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assemble wire harnesses for all products.

· Quality control of wire harnesses

· Soldering

· Crimping, cutting and stripping wires

· Safe use of wire harness equipment

· Perform related duties and responsibilities as directed by the department supervisor/manager.

· Perform good housekeeping of the work area and equipment and report irregularities affecting the operations to management.

REQUIREMENTS OR QUALIFICATIONS:

· Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to communicate in English.

· Ability to read wiring diagrams and interpret drawings

· Experience with soldering

· Experience in crimping, cutting and stripping wires

· Basic computer skills

· Knowledge and ability to use WINDOWS-based programs.

· 2 years experience in wiring harnesses required.

· Various hand tools associated with wire harness assembly operations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Mobility to work in a large factory setting with walking, pushing, lifting, standing, and sitting, while maintaining PPE requirements.
  • Shift: M-F 10 hours daily (6:00 am-4:30 pm), with frequent Saturday work.

Reporting: This position reports to the Sub-Assembly Supervisor and doesn’t have direct reports.

Salary Range: $20.00-$22.00 per hour based on qualifications.

Benefits: Insurance (Medical, Dental, Life, 401k). Paid time off and holidays.

Eligible to participate in Wanco’s standard benefits package.
