Job Description

The Multi-Wire Drawing Operator is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the multi-wire drawing section in a manufacturing facility. This role ensures that production targets are achieved efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. The foreman provides hands-on technical guidance, oversees machine operators, and ensures smooth workflow across shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead production staff in the multi-wire drawing department, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee daily production schedules to meet output and delivery requirements.
  • Ensure proper operation, setup, and adjustment of multi-wire drawing machines and related equipment.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the production process and coordinate with quality control teams to address deviations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machines, ensuring preventive maintenance and reporting breakdowns promptly.
  • Train and mentor operators on machine handling, safety protocols, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including shift reports, output logs, and downtime analysis.
  • Enforce workplace safety, housekeeping, and compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Requirements:

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
  • Proven experience (3–5 years) in multi-wire drawing operations or related metal/wire manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of wire drawing machines, dies, lubricants, and process parameters.
  • Team Lead experience in a production environment is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
