Job description

Winpak Control Group Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to join our Production Department based out of Norwood, New Jersey.
In this role you will support smooth and uninterrupted production by safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the plant. This role is essential to maintaining inventory accuracy, workplace safety, and operational flow across departments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods using forklifts.
  • Stock production areas (Printing, Slitting, Pouch, and Extrusion) as required.
  • Return unused materials to inventory daily and update locations in the system.
  • Transfer finished goods to the Finishing Department and stage rework materials as needed.
  • Issue cardboard, cores, skids, and resin to production departments.
  • Perform pre-shift equipment inspections, including forklift batteries.
  • Complete stock transfers, cycle counts, and inventory documentation accurately.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and clear transfer racks to storage.
  • Conduct routine safety checks and report equipment or racking issues.
  • Support recycling initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality and production goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
  • Experience operating forklifts safely in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to enter and manage inventory in computerized systems.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO or SQF quality standards.
  • Experience supporting safety or sustainability programs
Additional Information:
  • The Material Handler position is 100% onsite, working on the production floor.
  • Must be available to work on the first shift (6:00am - 2:30pm) or second shift (2:15pm - 12:45pm).
  • Standing and walking required for most of the shift.
  • Occasional lifting , 50 lbs.
  • Indoor manufacturing environment with occasional dust exposure.
Compensation range:
The compensation range is $20–$24 and is provided as a general guideline only. Pay will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise and is subject to vary.
