Description - What You'll Do
- Conduct a range of routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests-spanning chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-adhering to established protocols.
- Ensure the accuracy of results, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and perform the necessary preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
- Assist with the collection of specimens and prepare samples for testing as required.
- Document all laboratory procedures meticulously, train new team members, and help maintain laboratory quality standards.
- Uphold a clean, safe working environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation demands.
- Earned a Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a comparable allied health degree, along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
- ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of your hire.
- Keep your certification current throughout your employment.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork within healthcare environments.
- Demonstrate the capacity for independent judgment and problem-solving, particularly under pressure.
